Residents enjoy intergenerational fitness session at Meadows Park

This week, residents at Meadows Park Care Home enjoyed a heartwarming and energetic fitness session, made extra special by the wonderful Ellie from Be Great Fitness and the delightful children from Riverside Nursery.

Meadows Park welcomes Riverside Nursery for active morning

The room was filled with joy as residents and visitors took part in a fun-filled morning of bowling and swirling dance ribbons, bringing movement, laughter, and connection across generations. The uplifting atmosphere highlighted the many benefits of staying active, both physically and socially, proving that fitness is an adventure at any age!

One resident commented, ‘Having the nursery children visit brings so much joy and energy into our home. Their laughter is contagious, and it reminds us of happy memories from our own childhoods. It’s wonderful to see the different generations coming together, it truly brightens our day!”

Meaningful moments shared across generations

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ellie and the little ones from Riverside Nursery for making the session so memorable. We look forward to many more exciting fitness mornings in the future!

At Meadows Park care home, activities that encourage movement, companionship, and community connection are an important part of everyday life. Intergenerational experiences like these create uplifting moments that support wellbeing while bringing residents and visitors together in meaningful ways.
